What is a response?

A response is when a respondent engages in an interview, regardless of how long it takes, and the resulting data is extracted and presented in the submissions tab as either completed or partial responses.

This might include any number of questions and answers, and it is categorised as a response once the respondent engages with the first question or sentence in the interview.

Note: Completed and partial responses count towards your response allowance.

Completed responses

If the respondent reaches the end of the conversation and clicks on the End chat button — the response is considered completed.

Partial responses

In cases where the interview is only partially completed, and the respondent does not reach the end of the conversation and clicks on End chat, this is referred to as a partial response.
